In the park adjacent to the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan stands the majestic monument of the Vardapet, one of the city's most mystical and evocative landmarks. Unveiled in 1988, this masterpiece is the work of the renowned sculptor Ara Harutyunyan and the architect Phoenix Darbinyan.

The sculptor depicted Komitas seated upon the trunk of an apricot tree, deeply immersed in thought and holy silence. The bronze composition, set on a granite pedestal, embodies not only the figure of the Vardapet but also the symbiosis of Armenian sorrow and spiritual ascent. The atmosphere surrounding the monument is perpetually filled with a musical aura; conservatory students and art enthusiasts frequently gather here to commune with the silent yet powerful presence of the Great Master.
